Many individuals serve on boards and committees for community and not-for-profit organizations, and volunteer for numerous fundraising and community activities. To reinforce the value of this commitment, Virchow Krause has developed an employee recognition program titled "Helping Enrich Relationships through Outreach" (HERO) which recognizes the value of the time and benefits of community service. In the past year, more than 1,000 hours of volunteer time have benefited communities throughout Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
